Mezzo Farte Chili

Mezzo Farte Chili

1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, diced

Brown and drain.

1 can (46 oz.) tomato juice
1 can (16 oz.) red beans, rinsed
1 Tbls. + 2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer until thick, approx. 1-2 hours.

I remember when you took this chili to a Gold Company performance at JCC.
It took second place in the chili cook-off.
