¾ cup - almond oil
2 tsp. - ground cinnamon
2 tsp. - ground ginger
2 tsp. - ground nutmeg
1 16 oz. - glass container with lid
Cinnamon sticks, optional
In a medium-sized bowl, combine all ingredients until thoroughly blended. Be sure to break up any lumps from the brown sugar or from the spices. Spoon into the glass container and secure with lid. Scoop a teaspoon or two of the scrub on your hands and gently massage in circular motions onto your skin. Leave on for 3 to 4 minutes before thoroughly rinsing. The scrub will tighten on your skin.

This works fantastic! I made a 1/2 batch last night since I wasn't sure I was going to like it. But it's great! A little dab will do ya, though.

My son, Benjamin, has keratosis pilaris ( and I tried this on him this morning during his shower. It worked really well! He's definitely going to need to use this on a regular basis to have smooth skin, but something homemade and natural (which seriously hardly costs anything to make) beats forking over lots of money for prescription creams (which we've looked into). The oil in this also leaves the skin moisturized. Neither Benjamin or I needed to use lotion! This definitely gets a 2 thumbs up!!!

Finally made some - it works really, really well! Both Amara and I have been using it (although it is hard to get her not to eat it! LOL!) Question - do the spices "do" anything?? Or is it just to make it smell pretty?? I love this - but the cinnamon ends up leaving a gravel-looking residue on the bottom of the tub :( Maybe just because of our hard well water??

I don't think the spices do anything more than give it scent. Try making a half batch without them and see if it still works as well.

Glad you guys like it!

We LOVE it! My arms finally feel normal!

We're still working on Benjamin's skin. He's got the keratosis thing BAD so we'll have to use it a bit more religiously on him. It helps SO much!
