Naturally treating a UTI

Here's how we treat UTI's in our home.

Upon first symptoms, I make up a "Baking Soda Martini": 1/2 t of baking soda to 8 oz. water. Drink it up right away. Slam it.

Next, I brew up some Nettle Tea. Stinging nettle is a very common herb. Anybody that's done any sort of nature hiking knows what nettle is! But it's good stuff!
For tea, I use the following recipe:
Boil 4 C. water
Add 4 Tbls fresh nettle leaf (or 4 t. dried)
Steep for 20 min.
Strain and drink it completely in one day's time.
Continue this for 7 days.

Push fluids, especially water, fruit and veggie juices. You want to flush the system. As painful as it is to "go", the bacteria needs to get out! Cranberry juice is a very good option. Just be sure to get a pure cranberry juice and not one that's loaded with sugars and additives, which can actually aggravate the situation.

If it can be muscled down, Garlic Tea:
Boil 4 C. water
Add 4-5 cloves raw garlic, crushed
juice from 1+ lemons
Steep for 20 minutes
Strain and drink for 4+ days
